In December of 2025, the DUBCAR community was rocked by the deaths of two stock car racing legends, Michael Annett and Greg Biffle.
Michael Annett had a humble but successful career, winning two ARCA races as well as a NASCAR Xfinity Series race before quietly retiring in 2021 due to leg injuries sustained that year. He notched a total of 95 top tens in the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series, solidifying his place in the history books as a clean, quiet, and consistent competitor on the race track. Annett passed away on December 2, 2025.
Greg Biffle was the 2000 NASCAR Truck Series Champion, 2002 NASCAR Busch Series Champion, 2005 and 2006 Southern 500 Winner, 2005 NASCAR Cup Series Runner-Up, a 2022 West Coast Stock Car Hall of Fame inductee, a 2026 NASCAR Hall of Fame nominee, and named one of NASCAR's 75 Greatest Drivers. He won 19 Cup Series, 20 Xfinity Series, and 17 Truck Series races. Notably, in 2019, Biffle won a one-off Truck Series race after a 15-year hiatus from the series, demonstrating his immense talent at the wheel. After his retirmenet from full-time racing, Biffle continued to make one-off starts, mentored NASCAR and DUBCAR drivers such as Carson Hocevar, and engaged in philanthropic work with friends like Garrett Mitchell (Cleetus McFarland). Biffle made headlines in 2024 after engaging in Hurricane Helene relief efforts with his fleet of civilian aircraft, becoming a household name in his home state of North Carolina. Biffle, his family, and three close friends were killed in a plane crash on December 18, 2025.
Neither Greg nor Michael raced in DUBCAR, but they will nevertheless be sorely missed by our community. As a result, numerous teams elected to honor them with paint schemes throughout Season 2. This page is dedicated to those schemes and the memory of Michael Annett and Greg Biffle.
